WIP Wednesdays

Its only a week left....
and we start for sure on our Honey Bees Art Quilt....

At first I wasn't very excited to get going. I felt like I was dragging my feet, rearranging the pattern how many times, looking for a background fabric (sort of successful) and eventually I started to sew the pieces - because I need to be ahead of everyone else AND then it really hit me - I LOVE SEWING!! and I haven't been able to with the shoulder problem in the past but now that I do a lot more with my arm - Slap yourself and lets get going...

Ive managed to sew the first 2 weeks of the pattern in 2 days in between all the drama of housework etc so now I'm convinced that it isn't such a big thing and definitely not too hard.
Its sooooo cute! Any little kid would love this quilt.

This is what we are going to be busy with over the following weeks.
Shame, I used the wrong pink fabric on her staff/wand thingie, but no problem, once it gets FMQ on it I can fix it.

I hope this helps all of you make your decision on joining in....

My Woodlands Art Quilt is also coming along (I'll probably do some more on the week-end) .

This is only a small corner of the woods...
Already in love with this one!

I will turn it into a QAL once the Bees have finished. By then I'll have more to show you all and you can decided if you would like to take part in it.

It was inspired by a whole lot of Charley Harper illustrations.

 Thanks for stopping by!
